What is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness?
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, known by many fans by the acronym MCIS, was a dual CD released on October 24, 1995 by the Smashing Pumpkins and is currently one of their most successful albums to date. It was voted the 29th greatest album of all time in 1998 by Q magazine readers and was ranked number 487 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003.
MCIS was divided into two CDs: Dawn to Dusk and Twilight to Starlight. The track listings are as follows:

MCIS is personally one of my favorite albums of all time, if not my very favorite. It manages to span so many different sounds with just one album that I find it simply amazing. I never tire of its songs and there's always one song that you can listen to for the mood you're in.
