What is Krispy Kreme?
The first Krispy Kreme opened July 13, 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Now there are Krispy Kreme stores all over the United States and many more across the globe. There are a great many varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but they are especially famous for their "Original Glazed" doughnut. Many Krispy Kreme stores have glass surrounding their doughnut making machines so that visitors to the store might watch the doughnuts being made from start to finish. When hot doughnuts are rolling off the line, Krispy Kreme stores light up their "hot light" sign signalling that at that very moment you can pick up a hot, delicous doughnut inside.
